Wu tan Canada Chinese Martial Arts

At the Wu Tan Canada schools, the Chinese martial arts are taught in a serious, yet fun and relaxing manner. Although operating under strict guidelines, the stringent, militaristic discipline that abounds in other organizations does not exist.
Part of the Wu Tan philosophy is to offer insight into the various aspects and traditions of Chinese culture and philosophy, as well as to promote a family environment amongst all its members. Therefore social activities such as dinners, barbecues, movie nights, tournaments and demonstrations are often organized.
The styles taught at Wu Tan Canada include Northern Praying Mantis Kung Fu, Baji, Bagua, Piqua, Chinese Kickboxing, Taiji quan, as well as the history from which these styles originated. Stances, stepping, power generation, sensitivity, conditioning, sticking and trapping, forms, two-man forms, analysis of form applications, sparring, and traditional weapons are all part of the curriculum.
A maximum effort is expected from all students during class times, as the secrets to success in the Chinese martial arts are dedication and hard work. Higher-level techniques are only taught to those students who have proven themselves capable of absorbing such information.
